Situated in the Vatnajökull National Park, between Höfn and Skaftafell, Jökulsárlón is known to be the largest glacier lake in Island.
The ice is constantly calved off by the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, the second largest glacier tongue of mighty Vatnajökull.
